Who We Are

HG Interactive was founded in 2002 by Eric Hysen and Aaron Gross. We're dedicated to providing personal, affordable, and reliable web design and development solutions for small businesses.

If you've tried to get your business online before, you probably know it's easy to come across a slew of bad options. There are plenty of huge firms that will charge tens of thousands of dollars and give you a great design, but they won't get to know your business personally. If you want to save money, there are millions of freelancers overseas who will work for cheap but will give you an inferior product. And there are plenty of design shops out there that will sell you a pre-made template they've used for dozens of other sites.

At HGI, we want you to know there's a better way:

Local: We are based in Silver Spring, MD. We'll be doing all of the work on your site ourselves - we do not outsource.
Personal: We're a small, student-run business and will work with you directly in the design of your site. You'll be involved during every step of the creation process.
Affordable: Our rates are significantly lower than larger firms. Additionally, we'll work with you to develop an all-inclusive plan to cover your web site design, coding, registration, hosting, and updating so you can save money and only deal with us.
Reliable: We've worked with dozens of small businesses nationwide to develop their online presences - feel free to contact any of them directly through their web sites or ask us for references. Before we begin designing, we'll agree on and sign a contract specifying exactly when each part of your site will be done and what our and your responsibilities are in creating the site.
Knowledgeable: We're experienced with all the latest web technologies. Don't worry if you're confused by acronyms like XHTML, CSS, AJAX, PHP, RoR, and MySQL - we've got it under control. We've also got all of the web buzzwords covered - if you're interested in Web 2.0, social networking, podcasting, blogs, or wikis, we're ready to help you out.
